Shipping policy
Stock/Availability of Items
Our shelves are well stocked, so most orders go out soon after we receive them. However, rare unpredictable supply and/or demand could, on occasion, have some items out of stock while they are in production. The product description on the product page will indicate if a style or color of a product is temporarily out of stock by not allowing it to be added to your shopping cart. Please check back if this happens, we try to keep our production staggered so that all items will be back in stock quickly.
Dispatching Your Order
Orders are typically packed and shipped within two to five business days. If there are no holidays or unforeseen delays, most orders can ship as soon the next business day.
Transit Times
Adverse weather conditions, public/seasonal holidays, and Customs (for International orders) may also increase transit time. Pandemic related delays are also a new occasional challenge. Shipments to locations in close proximity to major postal hubs typically arrive more quickly than rural locations.
Shipping costs
Since we are a small U.S. family run business that tries to be fair and consistent in our pricing, we do not offer large discounts or free shipping our products. This is because, in order to do that, most businesses simply have higher prices on their items to make up for the loss. Because shipping still has to be paid by someone and it still costs the same amount of materials to produce the items, we think it is much more honest to let our customers know where they stand and not try to trick them with retail gimmicks. We really appreciate our customers and their understanding of these matters.
To calculate shipping for your order, simply add the products you'd like to purchase to your shopping cart. Shipping charges for your order will be calculated and displayed at checkout. Domestic orders are typically shipped via USPS for small item orders and UPS for larger (bulk) orders. USPS offers fast delivery times at low rates. If you have a requirement for delivery to be made by FedEx, UPS, or DHL or expedited, please contact us directly. All orders will receive an Order Confirmation, you will be supplied with a shipping confirmation and tracking number via email when the shipping label is printed.
International Orders
International orders are normally shipped via the United States Postal Service as it is the most economical. If you would like you order shipped via UPS, FedEx, DHL, or other please note it in your order. Also, please advise us if you need your order expedited when ordering. Any additional import taxes or fees are the sole responsibility of the recipient. Our staff will communicate with you about your order via email if additional information is needed to complete it. Please add our email address, contact@delpstockings.com, to your email address book to aid in this process.
Please note that we must fill out all Customs documentation accurately. We cannot label our merchandise as a "Gift" because it is illegal. It is a Tax (duty) avoidance and a violation of Customs declarations worldwide. It can cause us to have to face monetary penalties, forfeitures, and legal action. For both legal and moral reasons, we always fill out our documentation truthfully. We appreciate your understanding of this policy.
Bulk and Wholesale Orders
For Historic sites, Film Productions, and Wholesale orders, we would be happy to use your shipping account number for your order if notified at the time of order placement.
Insurance
Delp Stockings does not provide any insurance of any kind beyond the replacement value of the order. If any item is accepted by USPS to have been lost, or broken while in transit then we will promptly replace the contents of the order. If this isn't possible then we will issue a store credit, or if you prefer, a full refund.
Damaged Shipments
We carefully pack all of our smaller orders in Tyvek envelopes and the larger ones in cardboard boxes. Please be CAREFUL when opening your order, damage caused by sharp objects is not our responsibility. Despite the protective packaging, occasionally damage can occur during shipping.
If you receive an item that has been severely damaged in shipping, please contact contact@delpstockings.com within 72 hours of receipt and we will have a new product sent to you, and initiate a USPS claim for the item. Please hold on to the original packaging and packing material because USPS, in most cases, will need to inspect the items.
If you are an International customer then you will need to pay for the return of the damaged package to us, however, we will refund your shipping costs on receipt. International customers should please mark "returned goods" so that it will not incur duties, likewise if we send you an exchange or replacement we will do the same. If you have not received your order even after the tracking shows it was delivered, contact us within 15 business days to start a USPS trace for the package.
Lost Shipments
USPS does not consider a package lost until after we have filed a missing parcel claim with our postmaster. Once we have filed a missing parcel claim with USPS and they have confirmed that the item is no longer in transit and has been lost, we will replace your package. If you request a refund for an order that is late, lost, or stuck in Customs then we must have confirmation from USPS that the package is considered lost before we can issue a refund.
Shipments tracked as delivered, but not received
If your tracking shows the shipment as delivered but it's not in the location stated in the delivery confirmation then please check likely areas that the mail carrier may have hidden the package from public view. If you are still unable to locate the package then the fastest way to resolve the situation will be to contact your mail carrier directly, within a day or less of the issue. Checking with occupants of adjacent dwellings may also be a good idea, in case delivery was accidentally made to the wrong address. If the package has not arrived within one business day of the tracking confirming delivery then please contact us at contact@delpstockings.com and we'll assist.
Undeliverable, Refused, Unclaimed, or Returned Shipments
Packages will be returned back to us by the carrier if they cannot be delivered due to incomplete/incorrect addresses, are not picked up from your local mail facility, non-payment of local taxes or Customs fees, or if the recipient refuses delivery. All packages returned to us for the above reasons can take several weeks to be processed from the time of refusal (due to extended transit times on refused/RTS packages). We will not refund shipping costs we incur as a result of an undeliverable or refused shipment costs for receiving a returned package.
Order Changes and Cancellations
All requests to change or cancel an order should be made via email to contact@delpstockings.com or by phone at +1 (276) 655-9962 immediately. An order that has already received tracking has shipped and cannot be changed or canceled.
